Sometimes a color and trim can go along way. Our stylist Melissa added some layering to increase movement and add shape, creating a face flattering frame. Melissa also removed artificial color to warm up Falon’s faded color. Melissa placed hilites in with a warm hue that radiates depth and shine. Beautiful, shiny and new.

Often times, teens are really keen to experiment with home hair color. Melissa’s hair has gone through brilliant red to brunette over previous hilights. Her goal was to be blonde for summer. This was no job for the kitchen. The virtue in corrective color is patience. And wow, it was worth it! Authenticity is when the stylist’s skills meet the inner beauty of the client and brings it out. Melissa’s stunningly beautiful results are credit to Chandell for Make-up and Darlene for Hair

WOW! It’s hard to believe this is the same person. Our stylist Melissa opted for a new color and cut. This amazing color transformation to warm brunette and boast slices of gold for high shine. We say hair color is the most cost effective, instant and painless way to take years off.

It's been said that a woman's hair is her crowning glory. She can talk with her hair, and there are so many ways that a person can tell about her by simply looking at her hair. Most women cut their hair to different styles in attempt to enhance their looks. Some like their hair long and straight, while others like to wear their hair long with abundant curls or waves. There are others who go for the minimum, no fuss look and always have their hair cut short and simple. While others like to strike a balance between femininity and practicality and keep their hair at mid-length. And there are others who like to experiment on color and hiliting, not just with the length of cut with their hair. Unfortunately, not everyone can wear the same hairstyle and look good in it. Some hairstyles look great on some women and not so great on others. Many things can be taken into account as to why this is, but mostly it is cause the hairstyle does not flatter the face. The objective is to flatter your face and enhance your best features. Whether a hairstyle will look good on you or not depends on the shape of your face

Chopstix very own Carmen was up for a change along with the season. To get things started our stylist Patti cut Carmen’s hair asymmetrically around her face to frame. A fun splash of purple is taken through the front of the warm rich chocolate shade for edgy allure. Hair was blow dried with a large round brush, utilizing Paul Mitchell’s Awaphui Wild Ginger, Hydro-Mist Blo Out Spray.

Our model was creating her own fun with hair color play at home with several different color applications along the way. Our stylist Patti came to the rescue with a multi dimensional color technique that resulted in a more purposeful look to marry together all of the different color and tones in her hair. Being able to have versatility was an important quality she wanted to still be able to have with her hair.

Our summery make over Carolyn, talk about a trendy transformation! A disconnected bob is perfect for a fashionable yet easy to manage style. Her fringe is cut just above the upper lashes, drawing attention to her eyes. Her color has been transformed to a lighter all over blonde all to complete this pretty picture

Irene’s hair is cut by master stylist Darlene in this edgy asymmetrical trend setting style. Reds Turns Heads. There’s no doubt about it. Our stylist Melissa has turned Andrea’s hair into something special. Andrea’s red makes such a statement. Melissa also added a sneak-peak of blonde on each side for that extra something. Knock’em dead red!

Our stylist Darlene livened up Courtney's dark hair with a soft dimensional series of red tones, with just the right color placement to accent the haircut. Hair was cut giving her a new flirty face framing shape, with a side sweep bang.

Not every make over need be drastic. A few small changes totally freshen up Courtney's look. Our stylist Erin then took Courtney's natural dark brown hair color to a shade lighter, adding more warmth and shine. Paul Mitchell's Relaxing Balm was applied to damp hair before blow drying with an XL round brush. A couple of drops of Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum was applied to hair. Then hair was ironed for smoothness and shine. Sometimes less is more!

Wow! Georgina's hair has not been professionally cut in 22 years. If you grew up in the 70's you might be wearing hair super long straight hair at the age of 53. Often times we find that women associate their hair length with youthfulness. 24 inches of all natural hair was removed from Georgina's head and was donated for making wigs for children with cancer. Normally a 10 inch length is required of all natural hair. Amazing! The most important style task was to create a style with little or no maintenance, to work with Georgina's early and demanding job. Hair was snipped off just below shoulders in 6 ponytail sections, maintaining all the useable length as possible. Hair was deeply parted to one side and a lighter, softer fringe and chin length framing layers were cut in for feminity. We added richness to her dark brunette hair with a top coat of our demi permanent PM Shines, no maintenance hair color. Georgina loves her new look. And what an amazing look for a less fortunate child.

Jordana was our Mother’s Day make-over contest winner! Make over of the month or shall we say color crime intervention. Some serious ” Hairapy” for this color correction scene. Isle 3 scene of the crime. Our stylist Erin took matters into her professional hands. A color balancing technique was the first order. Multi dimensional colors of reds and red violets along with cool mahoganys warm up Jordana’s hair adding depth and dimension and evening out the lengths. She did not want to loose her length, so Erin added a side sweep bang along with some face framing layers for more style and shaped with interior layers as well. Her hair was blown dry with a large round brush utilizing Paul Mitchell Fast Form cream gel for volume and hold

Hair by Darlene, Sunny with a chance of highlights. As we head into our warmer months, Lisa wants to brighten her blonde hilights, without going all the way. The Cut: the blunt angled bang was created to be the focal point of the cut. This asymmetrical bob was angled to frame the cheekbone on one side and the jawline on the other side. The back is cut to angle to one side creating an asymmetrical twist. This look gives the bob a fresh updated feel. Hair has been blown dry to achieve subtle end curve and surface shine with our Paul Mitchell Quick Slip styling creme.

Hair by Patti. When Taylor sat in my chair I wanted to make her features come to life. The cut I picked for her was trendy and fun. I think that is what everyone wants these days.   The cut: The inverted bob is all the rage this season. Sleek sides and choppy bangs frame her face and even out the shape of her face. This cut can be worn straight or curly so it is not just for one client.   The color: Taylor did not want to have to commit to any one color, nor does any client so I chose a peek-a-boo color placement so Taylor could show them off or have them blend. The color that we chose was a blue and green with a clear PM Shines top coat to give her natural color more pizzazz.   The style: Taylor is a student and as all students she would choose to sleep in rather than spend hours styling her hair and this cut and color gives her that. To acheive this style start with Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum, dry the hair and smooth with the smoothing iron and finish with Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops
